31 Weeks!

It is getting CRAMPED in there!
And by cramped, I mean baby is shoving either his head or his feet in to my rib cage.
Not to mention the occasional pushes on my bladder...

But on the bright side,
baby is kicking,
wiggling,
shoving,
punching,
and letting me know he his happy and healthy.

This past week was one of the more challenging.
Bending down is getting harder,
work is tiring
and at the end of my week, I made one more long drive down to Orlando
... to visit the love of my life {Matt}.

Car rides at 32 weeks pregnant are interesting.
Proudly, I made it 4 hours with out having to stop for a bathroom break once!
Apparently baby loves stretching his little body while I am sitting down,
so the whole time I was fighting for air as he pushed up in to my diaphragm.

But those things are trivial, and I have a healthy baby.
So there are no real complaints here.

And, talking about no complaints,
can I just say how blessed I am?
I am so grateful for my friends and family.
They are the best.

My amazing highschool friends threw me an amazing baby shower this past weekend.
It. Was. Gorgeous.
I am so lucky to be surrounded by people who love, inspire, and support me.

The food was perfect
The decorations were adorable.
And the company was even better.

So, can you believe it?
31 Weeks?! Only 9 more to go!?
Well. I can't.
I feel like we are ready,
I am trying to mentally prepare myself.
If you remember from week 27's post I had an on-going to do list.
Here it is... updated!

Remaining to do list in the nursery:
1. Paint changing table.
2. Find one more 8x10 wall art piece.
3. Get a crib mattress.
4. Get Crib bedding.
5. Find a rug that we love. Get the rug.
6. Decide if curtains are a) necessary and b) in the budget right now.
7. Figure out bookshelf situation.
8. Print pictures of Matt and me (Mama and Daddy) as additional wall art.
9. Have a fat little baby to put in the crib.

Wow. Things are getting real.
Here is what's going on inside:

My Pregnancy This Week

Hello from BabyCenter!
This week, your baby measures over 16 inches long. He weighs about 3.3 pounds (try carrying four navel oranges) and is heading into a growth spurt. He can turn his head from side to side, and his arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath his skin. He's probably moving a lot, too, so you may have trouble sleeping because your baby's kicks and somersaults keep you up. Take comfort: All this moving is a sign that your baby is active and healthy.>>Read more about this week

       Week 31

19

pregnancy calendarYour Baby:
  • Blah blah blah 3.3 pounds, bag of oranges, sock full of nickels, etc.
  • Enjoys yawning, sucking his or her thumb, kicking mom in the diaphragm.
  • Turn-offs include: getting the hiccups, really loud noises and you trying to do all that boring “sleeping” at night.
You:
  • Can totally round down your answer to “two months” when people ask you how much longer you have to go. DO NOT focus on the crazy week-to-month-ratio math at this point in pregnancy, particularly when there are breakable, smashy objects within reach.
  • May be weirdly and inexplicably congested all the time. I, for one, appear to be allergic to my pillow. This is also prime time for pregnancy colds, as the toll on your body and immune system is getting higher by the week. Take it easy, slow down, take your vitamins and try try try to get enough sleep.
  • Can now play everybody’s favorite game, Guess The Body Part That’s Sticking Out Next To My Belly Button! Elbow or heel? Head or butt? Did I seriously just maybe feel my baby’s BIG TOE!?

How far along?: 31 Weeks; 4 Days
Total weight gain/loss: +23 pounds
Maternity clothes?: Just jeans! Lots of stretchy leggings!
Stretch marks?: None :)
Sleep: Yeah. Not a fan. Apparently pregnancy dreams are THE WORST.
I am almost afraid to fall asleep, with the fear that my dreams are going to be
SO realistic.
Best moment this week: Seeing my friends, my family, and sleeping in the same
bed as my baby daddy.
Miss Anything?: Breathing. This weekend, I was getting ready for bed, and Matt peeked
his head in the bathroom and asked why I was breathing to hard!? Um. Hello Honey??!
Movement: Yes. And I. LOVE. IT.
Food cravings: Chips, Salsa, Fresh Fruit, Fresh Veggies, Bread and CHEESE.
Anything making you queasy or sick: No!
Have you started to show yet: You tell me.
Gender: Boy
Labor Signs: Braxton Hicks.
Belly Button in or out?: Out!
Wedding rings on or off?: On. Still so loose.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy... unless I am at work.
Looking forward to: Holding our miracle.

Until Next Time,
LP

P.S.
I am excited about being a mom.

P.P.S.
My favorite moment this week:
Matt resting his head on my belly, talking to our son.
