Last week, I was 32 weeks.
{Which obviously means this post is late, again. Oops}
On Tuesday, I visited our midwife, Jane, and she told me everything looks great!
Baby is growing,
heart rate is strong and normal,
my weight didn't go up from the last 2 weeks.
But.
When I asked her if he was in "head down" position,
she looked at me and kindly smiled.
"You have time," she said.
So, we can just go ahead and say it,
this child already has a mind of his own.
{After all, he is half Matt's}.
He is partying in there, kicking and squirming
and stretching and just taking his sweet 'ol time.
We talked briefly about what would happen if he was "breech."
My fingers are crossed that he cooperates.
So, what else to report this week?
Hmm..
Well, Matt was suppose to come home from the studio today, Monday the 5th,
and luckily for me,
he tricked me and showed up to a restaurant I was at on this past Friday!
He totally surprised me! Which is so awesome because I am ALWAYS trying to get him.
When he walked in to the restaurant,
I was speechless! I screamed and jumped up from the table,
embracing him with a big hug and kiss.
The extra time with him this weekend was awesome!
Now, let's talk about this parenthood thing becoming real...
Um, we installed the car seat this weekend
and
put together baby's swing!
So cool! But so real!
Handsome Dad, putting together Sweet P's swing. |
Can you believe it?
I mean, next month, we are going to be PARENTS.
I'll let you know when that reality sets in.
Here it is, 32 weeks:
|
Week 32
- Is about three pounds, 11 ounces and 16 inches long.
- Is starting to get pretty crowded in there, so you may feel more subtle, rolling-type movements instead of sharp pointy kicks.
You:
- May notice a slight change in your belly shape over the next few weeks — kind of…downward sloping. Not so much of a nice shelf for your bowl of ice cream as you’ve had in the past.
- This change also might signal the retirement of some of your maternity clothes and you’ll need longer shirts instead of just roomy shirts. I can pretty much guarantee that the shirts that no longer fit will be the cutest ones, dammit.
- STAY HYDRATED. KEEP YOUR FEET ELEVATED WHENEVER POSSIBLE.
