First Baby Bump! Ignore the Messy Bathroom... |
Almost done with the first Trimester!
Thank god. I have never eaten so much cheese and potatoes in my life.
Nor have I ever been this tired.
[Australia Update: Matt told our Go Radio family yesterday. He announced it by informing the guys they would all be Uncles come next Spring. I heard there were a lot of hugs, shots, and "hell yeah, that's awesome!" moments. Needless to say everyone was super excited! This is going to be one lucky kid.]
They say it is suppose to get easier with Trimester two and then back to the sleepiness in the Third Trimester! I don't know how that is possible, considering nothing can be as challenging as these past weeks. I have been super lucky though. There have been no bouts of morning sickness, no drastic weight gain, and no problems with sleeping (yet). The only changes I have noticed are increased irritability and frequent urination, which I am blaming on Baby P. as it is dancing all around directly up against my bladder.
Yesterday was the second OBGYN appointment. Initially, just a check up to monitor my levels, weight gain, and blood pressure, my Doctor decided to listen to Peanut's heartbeat with a handheld doppler (bad idea). When she could not find the little babe in there, she assured me it was normal and too early but with the look of panic on my face she went ahead and ordered an ultrasound to reassure me I was still hungry and tired for two. Thanks Doc.
Look at that head ("Brain Housing Unit") and fat 'lil belly! |
When I emailed Matt the picture in Australia, he said "OH MY GOSH! HE ALREADY LOOKS LIKE ME!" I sarcastically agreed and said, yeah look at that head and those ears! Men.
If this is a boy, we are all in trouble.
Until Next Time,
LP
